Science & The Bible

Hasn’t Science Disproven the Bible?

Do you remember what we discussed about truth and false propaganda? How “one cannot know truth without honestly researching both sides of the argument” ... Not only has science not disproven one single thing in the Bible; but more and more-every single year it seems: the sciences of archaeology, biology, and historical records and findings are proving just how real and factual the Bible is.

Did you know that 30,000 times, archaeology has proven the Bible to be true? (See A.N. Sherwin White, Sir William Ramsay, William F. Albright or Sir Fredrick Kenyon) … The archaeological discovery of the “dead sea scrolls” in the 1940s is the greatest discovery in history “Proving the authenticity and authority of the Bible”.

The scrolls contain parts of each book in our Bible;(saving Ezra) and “The great Isaiah scroll”: a complete copy of the book of Isaiah that is “word-for-word": what you have in your Bible (Only it is dated 1,400 years older than any known manuscript, close to 300 years before Christ).

There are 3,000 prophecies in the Bible, most of which have already come true; save Jesus’ 2nd coming. There are 300 prophecies of Jesus: now, with the discovery of the dead sea scrolls and other archaeological discoveries: no human being can say that these prophecies were not written thousands of years before they came true: it now scientifically proven that they are liars and false propagandists... not only that:  the evidence of those prophecies prove that the Bible was written by God.

“Religion without science is blind; science without religion is lame.”-Albert Einstein   Jewish archaeologist Dr. Nelson Glueck says: “no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference”. Do you know that the Bible is the only proven-accurate history book of the Middle East? Close to 4 U.S. states are working to bring the Bible back into schools as a history book.

History Channel’s “Mysteries of the Bible” makes clear: anyone says that the Exodus didn’t happen (The Red Sea parting, all the plagues and even the first-born dying) they lose all credibility as a historian. They have Egyptian hieroglyphics (Steles) fully documenting the parting of the sea and all that is written in the Bible concerning the Exodus from Egypt... Satellite imaging from space can verify where the sea parted, and the Hebrews crossed... deep sea divers were pulling Pharaoh's chariots and all sorts of Egyptian weapons of war from that time from the bottom of the Red Sea.

In 1906, German archaeologists went to Jericho to challenge the bible story. They found that the walls had been pushed down and in, as if the hand of God had come down and flattened them. The houses were built into the walls. One house was not flattened: God had spared the prostitute Rahab’s house.

Archaeology has proven that while excavating Sodom and Gomorrah: there is sediment close to 4 meters deep in the ground where it was burnt by fire... there is a salt lick that camels use where the Bible says, “Lot’s wife looked back and was turned to a pillar of salt.”

I know what you’re thinking: it is getting to the point due to so many scientific discoveries; that it takes very little faith to believe anymore? “I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist”, Norman Geisler says: “historical and archaeological evidence points us well on our way to believing what we do: so, the faith that we have in our God is, in fact, reasonable. “I’m thinking, it is already to the point that it is unreasonable: one would have to be delusional when confronted with the mountains of concrete evidence supporting God and the Bible to not believe.

If you search the archaeologists and the men that were mentioned earlier? You will find that Doctor Luke, who wrote the books of Luke and Acts (approximately A.D. 50 and 55 respectively) is in fact the greatest-most accurate historian that ever lived! Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Oxford will confess to Luke’s credentials and trustworthiness. Luke documented some 300 persons, places without failure... “Luke’s history is unsurpassed in respect of trustworthiness.” -Sir William Ramsay; “Any attempt to reject its basic historicity even in matters of detail must now appear absurd.” - Roman historian A.N Sherwin White; “Colin Hemer identifies 84 facts in the last 16 chapters that have been confirmed by historical and archaeological research. Doctor Luke named 32 countries, 54 cities and 9 islands without an error.’ (The book of Acts in the setting of Hellenistic history- by Colin Hemer; “The historicity of the narrative is indisputable!" – A.N. Sherwin White.

Psalm 19:1 says, “The Heavens declare the glory of the Lord; the firmament of the Earth testifies to His handiwork.’ Constants: If the sun was 100 miles closer to Earth, we would burn. If the sun were 100 miles further away from us, we would freeze... If the sun were not where it is in proximity to the moon: our atmosphere would fall apart... the huge magnetic polarity of Saturn has saved the Earth from destruction many times over these are called “constants”. There are close to 100 different constants that have been identified: If just one of any of the hundred constants did not exist, planet Earth could not support life.

Isaiah 40:22 says, “He sits enthroned on the circle of the Earth” ... everyone thought Christopher Columbus was crazy when he said the Earth is round.

What if we just read and trusted our Bible? Then we would know our world, the whole make-up, the cure to every hurt, habit, hang-up, or addiction.... over 5,000 years before modern-secular science discovered it: The book of Job (God wrote) tells us how the water sprouts from the crust of the Earth at the bottom of the ocean; and about the path of a lightning bolt.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has placed eternity in your heart.” Biological science has recently proven that when every person ever born, was conceived in their mother’s womb; when the sperm first came in contact with the egg cell; there is "a spark of energy created”- a divine spark! (See Jeremiah 1:5)

Oxford’s atheistic “hammer”, biologist Richard Dawkins says: “Every human has 6 trillion cells in their bodies. Every single one of your 6 trillion cells carries enough genetic information to fill 1,000 encyclopedia Britannica’s." (When you look in the mirror, you are looking at a miracle.) Nasa’s Graham Kendrick says: “Hands that flung stars into space, to cruel nails surrendered” ... You have viewed now: historical, biological, cosmological archaeological evidence proving that your Bible is true and factual and irrefutable. And what you read here is only a small taste of what the Lord has shown of himself; “If you seek, you will find.”

Now, the burden of proof falls on the dissenter: meaning the enemies of Jesus have never-not once, offered one shred of evidence disproving Christianity (It’s on them to present their evidence now).

Men and women know nothing in this world or universe that does not have a cause. The scientific law: “Ex nihilo nihil fit" (out of nothing, nothing comes) science has proven you can’t get a protein unless you have a first protein for it to come from. Neither you, our universe, or that first protein came from nothing. Us and it had to have a creator (Check Discovery Institute in Seattle, Washington). Dr. T.N. Tahmisian of the U.S Atomic Energy Commission says:"teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con men, and the story they are telling maybe the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact.”

For the most part, these people that are saying the Bible is a myth; are of a belief system that has been undeniably proven to be untrue. In fact, not one thing in the Bible has been disproven. And there is not one shred of scientific evidence to support evolution as an origin of species… Search Michael Behe’s “Bacterial Flagellum”, and “the Cambrian explosion”: both are solid biological and archaeological evidence that there is zero truth to evolution. Throw in Darwin’s “missing link” (no species has ever crossed into another-ever) the missing link is still missing-equals: evolution is a lie.

For the most part, when our Christian philosophers like Ravi Zacharias, William Lane Craig or Norman Geisler debate atheists; any honest scientist must admit:” this universe, our biological make-up is far too intricate and complex to not have a designer. But it is not morally comfortable to admit such a thing” … it is not a matter of evidence, and what is true and what is not: if we admit there is a God then we admit there is a moral lawgiver that we have to answer to. we already spoke of Einstein. Kepler (Kepler telescope) and the great Galileo all Believe in God. It comes down to real integrity and the willingness to be honest.

In the absence of an absurdly improbable accident, the observations of modern science seemed to suggest in underlying, one might say, supernatural plan”. -Nobel Laureate Arno Penzias “We are by, astronomical standards, a pampered, costed, cherished group of creatures. If the universe had not been made with the most exacting precision, we could never have come into existence. It is my view that these circumstances indicate the universe was created for man to live in”. -NASA astronomer John O’Keefe

“The statistical probability that organic structures and the most precisely harmonized reactions that typify living organisms would be generated by accident is 0”. -Nobel Laureate in chemistry Ilya Prigogine

In your Bible, Romans 1:19-20 makes clear” what may be known of God is manifested in us… the invisible things of him and the creation of the world are clearly seen… so they are without excuse”. 2nd Peter 3:5 says” they willingly are ignorant that by the word of God (the earth and the universe and all that you see) was called into being”.

The renowned atheist Bertrand Russell said, “When I die, if I stand before God; I will ask him why he did not offer me enough evidence to believe?” To which God will tell him that he “willingly" suppressed all the evidence of my existence.”

French atheistic philosopher Voltaire said 400 years ago:” In 50 years there will be no more Bibles” … today, if you go to any university, you will find people wherever you go that know of the Bible. Only in various philosophy departments have people heard of Voltaire… today, if you go to the house in France where Voltaire lives you will find it was purchased by the Geneva Bible Society; and they are printing bibles there.🤣😂

“Mighty Potentates have raged against this book and sought to destroy and uproot it. Alexander the Great and the Princes of Egypt and Babylon, the monarchs of Persia and Greece and Rome, the emperors Julius and Augustus-but they prevailed nothing. They are gone, while the book remains, and it will remain forever and ever, perfect and entire as it was declared at first. Who was helped it- who has protected it against such mighty forces? No one, Surely, but God himself who is master of all things.” -Martin Luther

Don't let anyone ever tell you the Bible has been changed! Books have been left out! Or the Bible is false!!! The truth of God and all the evidence is on your side… William F. Albright says: “Every book of the New Testament was written before A.D. 75. This means that the entire New Testament was written while most of the eyewitnesses were still alive” … origin: “the four Gospels were received without dispute by the whole Church of God under heaven.”

Studies of the New Testament revealed that it has been copied with over 99% accuracy, the remaining portion of less than 1% affecting no significant teaching. The New Testament has over 5,000 manuscript copies which began to be produced less than 50 years after the New Testament was written.

No, science has not disproven one single thing in the Bible! God is “Omni science”! He gives us science to lead us on our way to saying “Oh, that is how our awesome God did it!”

Truthfully, I feel sorry for men/women of science that attempt to deny our Omni science God. C.S. Lewis likened it to climbing up the tallest tree; Then cutting off the branch you were sitting on. Can someone truly possess wisdom and knowledge when they have cut themselves off from the author of wisdom and knowledge? Can one even know truth when they have blinded themselves to him of whom all truth is found?

Francis S. Collins says: “Science is not threatened by God; it is enhanced. God is most certainly not threatened by science; He made it all possible.”

For the record: the Old Testament of your Bible was taken from the “Greek Septuagint”. A Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible dated around 250 B.C. was so accurate that the Hebrews would throw festivals in honor of it every year! (250 years before Christ)

A short list of early church manuscripts found:

  1. New Testament manuscripts total: 200,000 to 400,000 copies
  2. Greek copies of the New Testament: 5,700
  3. Latin copies of the New Testament: 100,000
  4. Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, Georgian: 10,000 to 15,000
  5. copies from the first three centuries: so, when New Testament Greek (there is zero evidence-no documentation proving examples of errors in your Bible)

So, anyone that makes the statement that “the Bible is a myth, there was no proof of the Bible authenticity, or science has disproven the Bible”; is either misinformed and ignorant of the facts, or is a blatant liar that is in fact serving the father of lies- (the Devil)

In closing, you have a key that fits all locks in the Bible. We know that it is the right key because scientific evidence has proven it 1,000 times over. There are all sorts of theories and opinions; but your Christianity is founded in truth and in any conversation or environment you are in you can rest securely confident and boldly invigorated that "TRUTH IS ON YOUR SIDE"… relief in the self-existent, personal God of the Bible is in full harmony with all the scientific facts that are well known and evident. If the God of the Bible exists; and all “good science” says he does: then a common universal belief in his existence and love for you is the most reasonable and natural response.

You are not a body (flesh) with a spirit. You are a spirit with a body… three different doctors, all through the 1900s weighed people when they died. It was proven that 3 oz leave every person's body when they die. It did not make a difference whether it was a 300-pound man, or 100-pound woman: 3 oz left every person’s body when they die.

The Bible is the only thing that tells us what that 3 ounces is... whatever you are going through right now, or whatever may be coming against you: it is only temporary. You have an “eternal soul”: the very essence of God-your father. And one day, we will be with him for eternity. Psalm 16:11 says, “In his presence is fullness of joy, and pleasures for evermore”. Galileo says, “The laws of nature are written by the hand of God in the language of mathematics. The human mind is a work of God and one of the most excellent.”

This from Johannes Kepler: “The chief aim of all investigations of the eternal world should be to discover the rational order which has been imposed on it by God and which he revealed to us in the language of mathematics… I believe only and alone in the service of Jesus Christ. In him is all refuge and solace” … and “There are more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history.” -Sir Isaac Newton

We will close this with 4 of the most respected scientists in the history of our planet. Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow’s famous book “God and the Astronomers” says: “Now we see how the astronomical evidence leads us to a biblical view of the origin of the world. The details differ, but the essential elements and the astronomical and biblical accounts of Genesis are the same; the chain of events leading to man commenced suddenly and sharply at a definite moment in time, in a flash of light and energy”.

Doctor Francis S. Collins, head of “The Human Genome Project” says: “The Big Bang cries out for a divine explanation. It forces the conclusion that nature had a defined beginning. I cannot see how nature could have created itself. Only a supernatural force that is outside of space and time could have done that”.

All I hear from atheists is: “luck would have it”; or “by chance coincidence”: What faith! I'm not willing to bet my eternal existence and forgiveness on the odds that atheists do! The consensus among evolutionary scientists is that “If the rate of expansion one second after The Big Bang had been smaller by even one part in 100,000 million, the universe would have recollapsed before it even reached its present size.”

This means that if you are willing to wager/to gamble on there not being an eternal God you will one day answer to: the odds of you being correct(winning) is the equivalent of all the grains of sand, on all the beaches of the world; and you, at some random beach, bending over and picking up the one grain of sand in all the world's beaches that can save you.

Stephen Hawking, in “A Brief History of Time” states: “It would be very difficult to explain why the universe shouldn't be done in just this way, except as the act of a God who intended to create beings like us.”

Arno Penzias, the Nobel Prize winning scientist who Co-discovered the cosmic microwave background radiation states: “The best data we have are exactly what I would have predicted, had I nothing to go on but the five books of Moses, the Psalms, the Bible as a whole.”
